Terms of Use
Last updated: 19 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and LEX PROXIMA STUDIOS LTD ("we", "us") about the Blurn iPhone app and its services ("Blurn"). They are also the end user licence agreement (EULA) for the app. By using Blurn you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't accept them, please don't use Blurn.
1. What Blurn is
- Blurn is a photo editing app. You pick a photo and apply a ready-made look with one tap. There is no prompt field.
- Looks marked AI are made in the cloud by AI models from third-party providers. The Privacy Policy names them and explains what is sent.
- Local tools (texture, frame, rotate and stamp) run on your device and are free.
- You can publish your results on your profile. Other people see them in Explore and on the post's web link. If you leave a post's recipe open, others can apply the same look to their own photos.
We may add, change or remove looks, features and prices over time. We do our best to keep Blurn running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.
2. Who can use Blurn
- You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
- You can use Blurn without an account; we create a guest account on your device. To publish, you sign in with Apple or with your email.
- You're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.
3. Your licence to use the app
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Blurn on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the App Store Usage Rules. The app, its looks and its design belong to us or our licensors.
You may not copy, modify, sell or rent the app, reverse engineer it (except where the law allows), get around its limits or security, or access it with bots or other automated tools.
4. Your photos and results
- You keep the rights you have in the photos you upload and the results you make.
- You confirm that you have the rights to every photo you use, including the permission of every real person who appears in it.
- To run Blurn, you give us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and process your photos and results, and to send them to our AI providers when you choose an AI look.
- When you publish a post, this licence also covers showing it worldwide on your profile, in Explore and on its web link, and letting others apply its recipe if you leave it open. The licence ends when you remove the post or delete your account.
- We don't use your photos to train AI models.
- AI results may not be unique, and in some countries they may not be protected by copyright. Check a result before you use it, and make sure it doesn't infringe anyone's rights.
5. Zero tolerance for objectionable content
Blurn has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You may not upload, create or publish:
- Nudity or sexual content. Any sexual content involving minors is reported to the authorities.
- Hate speech, harassment, bullying, threats or content that promotes violence.
- Photos of real people without their permission, or edits that sexualise, mock or deceive about a real person.
- Illegal content, or content that infringes someone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
- Spam, scams, impersonation or misleading fakes.
Published images are checked automatically for prohibited content. You can report any post or block any user from the post's menu in the app. We review every report within 24 hours. When content breaks these rules, we remove it and close the account that posted it.
You can also report content to support@lexproximastudios.com.
6. AI labels and Content Credentials
Results made with an AI look carry a green AI mark and an "Edited with AI" label in Blurn. Files you save or share include Content Credentials (C2PA) and an IPTC marker that say AI was used. You agree not to remove or hide these labels and markers, and not to present an AI-edited image as unedited.
7. Subscriptions
- Blurn Premium is available as a weekly or a yearly subscription. Prices are shown on the purchase screen before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings (on iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Deleting the app or your Blurn account doesn't cancel your subscription.
8. Credits
- AI looks use credits. Each look shows how many credits it uses before you start. Local tools are free.
- Your subscription gives you credits every period (every week on the weekly plan, every month on the yearly plan), as shown on the purchase screen. Subscription credits renew each period and don't roll over: unused ones expire when the period ends.
- Subscribers can buy extra credit packs. Pack credits are added to your account right away and don't expire at the end of a period.
- If an AI look fails, the credits it used go back to your account.
- Credits have no cash value and can't be exchanged or transferred. Remaining credits are removed when you delete your account.
- All purchases are made through the App Store. Refunds are handled by Apple; you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
9. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in Blurn under Settings → Delete account. This works for guest accounts too. Your profile, posts, edits, AI results and remaining credits are deleted permanently.
We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect Blurn and its users from abuse or fraud.
10. No warranty
Blurn is provided "as is" and "as available". AI results can be inaccurate or different from what you expected. Warranties that can't be excluded by law, and your consumer rights, are not affected.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses such as loss of profit, data or reputation. Our total liability relating to Blurn is limited to the amount you paid for Blurn in the 12 months before the claim.
This doesn't limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that can't be limited by law.
12. App Store terms
Because you got Blurn from the App Store, the following also applies:
- These terms are between you and LEX PROXIMA STUDIOS LTD, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
- We are responsible for maintaining and supporting the app. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
- If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- We, not Apple, handle any claims about the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection and intellectual property claims.
- You confirm that you're not in a country under a US government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and that you're not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your mobile data agreement.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them against you once you accept them.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll tell you about important changes in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Blurn after a change, you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts handle disputes. If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and can bring claims there.
